Dear Colleagues,

It is my privilege to invite you for the fourth national congress of the Indian society of Hip and Knee Surgeons (ISHKS) at Ahmedabad. Although still in its nascent stage, the society has achieved high standards in educating the budding joint replacement surgeons. We had excellent academic feast in our previous 3 meetings at Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi, and we look forward to your participation here.

This year too, we have eminent speakers from abroad who have made significant contributions in field of arthroplasty. Dr. Michael Freeman, Dr. Michael Freeman, Dr. Seth Greenwald, Dr. Michael Morlock, Dr. John Skinner, Dr. Raymond Robinson, Dr. Myron Stachniw, Dr. Frederick F. Buechel, Dr. Michael J. Pappas, Dr. Tokifumi Majima, Dr. A. Braun have already Consented to share their experiences with us.

The meeting will focus on how to achieve longevity of implant, both in hip and knee arthorplasty. The newer designs and their tribology will be discussed. The hip resurfacing will be reviewed from retrieval experience.

Our goal is to provide evidence based information so as to further improve the level of patient care.
